Dr. Thomas Lombardo, an orthopedic surgeon at Northtowns Orthopedics, will be receiving the Spirit Award from Kaleida Health at the Kaleida Ball on September 26, 2015. The award is given each year to one member of the Kaleida medical staff, which consists of approximately 1,800 providers, who has gone above and beyond in medicine and philanthropy in Western New York.
Aside from practicing medicine for over 35 years, Dr. Lombardo has also been an active volunteer in the community for more than 30 years. He has held board and leadership positions with a variety of organizations throughout the area. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and is on the Board of Directors for the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
In the past, he has been president of the Western New York Orthopaedic Society; president of the Erie County Medical Society; treasurer and president of the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons; and is a founding member of Kaleida Health’s Board of Directors.
Founded in 1995, Northtowns Orthopedics provides both general and specialty orthopedic care to patients at five locations: Alden, East Amherst, Ellicottville, Tonawanda, and Williamsville.
