Northtowns Orthopedics is welcoming back to Western New York,
Dr. Vikram Brahmabhatt.
Dr. Brahmabhatt is returning to WNY after an absence of three years during which time he served as a staff orthopedist at Burdett Orthopedics in Troy, New York.
After completion of his orthopedic surgery training at the University of Bombay, India, Dr. Brahmabhatt then continued his training by completing the Pediatric
Orthopedic Fellowship at The Hospital for Special
Surgery, NY Hospital - Cornell Medical Center in 1995.
Following a second Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at the University of Buffalo completed in 1996 he
continued his US training by completing a surgical internship in 1997 and the first year of his Orthopedic Residency in basic science in 1998 both at the
University of Buffalo. He then proceeded to complete his second residency in orthopedic surgery by
completing his training at the University of Buffalo from 1998-2002.
Following his US residency he went on to receive
further post graduate training from the Northtowns
Orthopedics Sports Medicine fellowship during 2003, during which he worked with the NFL Buffalo Bills and NHL Buffalo Sabres.
Dr. Brahmabhatt will be joining Dr. Donald Douglas and Dr. Todd Grime in caring for the National
Lacrosse League Buffalo Bandits, the Houghton
College athletes and several area high school and club level athletes.
Specializing in the care and treatment of sports injuries is a priority of Dr. Brahmabhatt. He brings the latest in
advanced arthroscopic care and treatment of knee and shoulder injuries. While this is his passion he also will be treating and caring for a broad spectrum of
orthopedic concerns.
